Kaylee's Story I developed preeclampsia at 32 weeks' of my pregnancy. I began to swell extremely bad and had to be rushed to the ER. My kidneys were shutting down and the baby wasn't doing well. I stayed in the hospital for 2 days taking shots to develop my daughters lungs. After two days of near death and wondering if my baby and I were going to make it, I delivered a 3 pound baby girl. Despite the typical premature problems and the unbelievable roller coaster of emotions day to day. My daughter Kaylee developed hydrocephalus. She underwent 2 temporary shunt operations because she wasn't big enough to have a permanent shunt yet. She came through the operations with flying colors. I've never seen anything so small be so strong. I prayed day and night for a miracle from God. Scared to death that because of the hydrocephalus my daughter would never lead a normal life, would have less than normal intelligence. After six weeks of lying in an isolette almost lifeless it's like she suddenly came to life . The doctors and surgeons couldn't explain it. They took an ultrasound of the ventricles of her brain, which every other time were elevated and the ultrasound was completely normal. That was 2 months ago and my daughter is at home perfectly normal, no problems and weighs 13 pounds. People ask me do I believe in God and miracles, I've seen it first hand! God Bless, Mother of a Miracle
